Description
No. 2 Monmouth Place is a mid-19th century house that includes a shop, with some 20th-century alterations. The building is constructed from limestone ashlar and has a slate roof. Its gabled front is aligned with the front of The Kings Arms. The exterior features three floors with two replacement plain sash windows above a mid-19th century pilaster shopfront that has a central door. To the right of the shopfront is a panelled house door with a transom light above it. The interior has not been inspected, but it may have been refronted from an earlier building, as the first-floor platband continues from the adjoining inn. This property is included for its group value.
