Description
This is a pair of chest tombs located in the churchyard about 4 metres north of the porch of St. Michael's Church in Compton Martin. They date from the late 17th century and are made of limestone. Both tombs feature flat tops with a moulded edge and sunken panels on the sides, with plain corner pilasters. The tomb on the eastern side is dedicated to Mary Crosse and other family members, although the inscriptions on the other tomb are illegible.
