Description
This building is a stable located about 30 metres west of Harford House, dating from around 1817 with some later alterations. It is constructed of squared coursed sandstone freestone, with rubble on the sides and rear, and features limestone dressings. The stable has a hipped pantiled roof and is two storeys high with three bays. The centre bay projects slightly forward and contains a segmental-headed door with a keystone and a pitching eye above it. There is a plain string course, a shallow pediment, a parapet, and limestone coping. To the left, there is a carriage entry with a segmental head and keystone that breaks into the central bay, while to the right is a 2-light casement window with a segmental head. A weathervane is also present. The right side of the building has a 2-light casement with a timber lintel, which was formerly a door, and a central loading door above. The rear of the stable features three blocked doors at ground level and a loading door to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
