Description
The Old Rectory is a rectory that has been converted into a private house. It dates from the 17th century and underwent alterations in the late 18th century and mid-19th century. The exterior is rendered to resemble ashlar and features a slate roof with coped raised verges, a coped parapet, and a moulded cornice, all designed in a plain Tudor Gothic style. The building has two storeys and consists of two bays with dividing and end pilaster strips. On the right side, there are tripartite glazing bar sash windows, with a Tudor rose tablet above the first floor. The left side features a canted bay with 16-pane glazing bar sash windows on the ground floor and a 16-pane sash window above it, which is sheltered by a hoodmould. Set back on the right is a six-panel door within a plain doorcase topped by a broken pediment. The rear elevation includes three casement windows with two and three lights, featuring ovolo moulded mullions and surrounds.
