Description

The dovecote, located 100 yards behind the Manor House, dates from the 17th century or earlier. It is a circular structure made of coursed rubble with an ashlar interior and features a conical thatched roof. The walls have an irregular series of entrance holes. There is a low square beaded door on the south side with a wooden surround, and a tall door on the west side that is accessed by three steps. The dovecote has two storeys, with all the lower nesting holes open and the upper ones blocked.
