Description
Eastern House is a house from the early 19th century located at the end of a row on Beechen Cliff Road. It is constructed of ashlar stone and has slate roofs. This larger house is set back from the road and positioned at right angles to it, with an outbuilding that now serves as a garage at the front.
The exterior features two storeys, with the east front displaying three plain sash windows above a central door and sash window. The north side has a full-height octagonal bay on the left, featuring plain sashes with broad flush mullions on each level, and a single sash window on the right at each level. Both frontages are adorned with a moulded cornice, a high blocking course, and a parapet, along with a large ridge stack to the right of the bay. The west side includes plain and four-pane sashes. Adjacent to the road is a two-storey slated range with coped gables and a very wide garage door. The interior has not been inspected.
