Description
Old Farmhouse is a house dating from the mid-17th century. It is constructed of rubble with freestone dressings and features double Roman tile roofs. The building has a two-unit layout with a passage leading to a stair in a turret. It stands two storeys high and has three windows, all of which are ovolo-moulded mullion casements set beneath continuous drips that return at the ground level.
The central gabled porch has raised coped verges, a saddlestone, and two bull's eyes. The main gables also feature raised coped verges on kneelers and have single oval lights in the attic. On the east side, there is a single blocked ovolo-moulded light at the ground floor. The rear of the house has three windows, with two-light casements similar to those at the front. Centrally, there is a projecting gabled stair turret, and the windows here are still leaded. On the west side, the ground floor window is blocked, while the window above has an inserted sash. Additionally, there is a lower two-storey, two-window west wing that now has all late 20th-century details.
