Description
The gate piers located approximately 40 metres to the north-west of St Keyna House date from the early 18th century and are likely contemporary with the earliest part of St Keyna House. These square gate piers are made of ashlar stone and feature moulded cornices and cambered tops. The original description noted that they had urn finials and decorative cast-iron gates with spear finials, which have since been removed; however, the gates were in the process of being restored at the time of the survey. These gate piers are an important feature of the streetscape and contribute to the setting of St Keyna House. Originally listed under Whitchurch civil parish, they are now within the parish of Keynsham due to boundary changes.
