Description

Stockwood Farmhouse is an early 19th century farmhouse situated on the eastern side of Stockwood Road. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar copings, topped by a single-Roman tile gabled roof, and features gable-end brick stacks. The plan follows a double-depth layout with two rear service ranges.

The two-storey south front is symmetrical, with three windows arranged across the facade and a central doorway. It has early 19th century, 2-light, small-pane casement windows; those on the ground floor are set beneath cambered heads. A part-glazed panelled door is sheltered by a flat stone hood supported on brackets. A catslide roof slopes down to the north-east, covering a small extension to the north-east corner of the building.

The interior has not been inspected.

The building’s location has shifted due to boundary changes, originally being listed within Whitchurch parish, but now lies within the parish of Keynsham. A previous listing, entry number 1384636, was removed on 10th July 2015.
