Description

Fir Tree Cottage is a terrace house built in the early 19th century, with a late 19th-century addition. It is constructed from limestone ashlar, and the roof is not visible, featuring moulded stacks at the gable ends. The building has a single depth plan with a rear left wing.

The exterior is two storeys high and originally had a symmetrical three-window range. It features a coped parapet that rises over the right gable end, along with a cornice, a first-floor sill band, and plate glass sash windows. The window on the ground floor to the right is set in a shallow semicircular arched recess. In the centre, there is a half-glazed five-panel door in a plain opening, and to the left, there is a late 19th-century two-storey rectangular bay that is very slightly canted, topped with a hipped tiled roof that extends up to the parapet, with the sill band continuing around it. The interior has not been inspected.
