Description
Oakford is a detached house, originally used as a public house, dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of ashlar stone and features a slate roof with coped raised verges and ashlar stacks that have a cornice. It stands two storeys high with attics and has three bays. The windows are 16-pane glazing bar sash windows, although the central window on the first floor is blocked, and there is a plain band above. The main entrance consists of a central six-panel and glazed door, which is sheltered by a flat stone hood supported on brackets. On the right side of the first floor, there is a painted inscription that reads: "BENJAMIN BLAMAN/BREWER/AND/RETAILER OF BEER/CIDER AND TOBACCO/TO BE DRUNK ON THE PREMISES".
