Description
The retaining wall and central flight of steps, located immediately to the northeast of St. Catherine's Court, is likely from the 17th century. It features a rubble base that stands approximately 10 to 12 feet high, topped with a balustraded parapet. The structure includes panelled pedestals adorned with urn finials. The off-centre flight consists of 19 steps, with ashlar balustraded sides that have a moulded cornice and panelled end piers.
