Description

This is a 15th-century timber-framed building, located on Haywards Heath Road, Balcombe. The north-east wall displays exposed timber framing and plaster infilling, while the ground floor is faced with red brick and the upper portion is tile-hung. The east end of the building is weather-boarded, and the roof is tiled. Casement windows are present throughout. Later additions have been made to both ends of the building. The ground floor of the north-east front features a modern shop front. The building is two storeys high, with five windows. Internally, a crown-post is visible.
