Troytown is a 16th-century timber-framed building that has been refaced with red brick and grey headers on the ground floor, while the upper part is tile-hung. The west end features painted brick, and the building has a tiled roof. It includes casement windows and has a 17th-century chimney breast made of red brick and ashlar on the east wall.
