Description
Little Hickstead Place is an L-shaped building located on Hickstead Lane. The central or southern part of the north wing is a timber-framed structure from the 17th century or earlier, featuring red brick infilling, with the ground floor rebuilt in brick. The east wing, which is at right angles to the north wing, was added or refaced in the 18th century, showcasing red brick on the ground floor and tile-hung above. The northern end of the north wing was added in the 19th century and has a tiled roof, while the rest of the building features a roof made of Horsham slabs. The building has two storeys and three windows in each wing, with gabled dormers for the first-floor windows of the north wing.
