Description

The Castle Hotel is an L-shaped building located on London Road in Hickstead. The west wing dates from the 18th century and is two storeys high with four windows. The ground floor is constructed of red brick with grey headers, while the upper part is finished with tile-bung. It has a tiled roof and retains its original glazing bars. The north wing, built in the early 19th century, features two parallel ranges and is also two storeys tall with three windows. This section is made of painted brick and has a tiled roof, with windows that include wooden shutters and intact glazing bars.
