Description

The White House is a late 16th-century house located on Whitehouse Lane in Staplefield. It has been restored and enlarged, resulting in an irregular shape. The older part of the building is mostly covered with tile hanging. It features a modillion eaves cornice and a Horsham slab roof. The house has casement windows and a brick chimney breast at the west end of the front. It is two storeys high with an attic, containing five windows and four hipped dormers. There are modern additions to the east that imitate timbering.
