Description

Pilstye Farmhouse is a T-shaped house dated 1647, built by the Gatland family. Originally two storeys, a third floor was added in 1822. The house features five windows, with the two westernmost window bays projecting. It is constructed of ashlar and has a parapet and a slate roof. The windows are three-light casements with stone mullions, transoms, and small square panes. A pointed doorway displays the initials "H. G." and "A. G." in the spandrels, along with the date 1647 above it. Inside, there are ornamental plaster ceilings and an 18th-century staircase.
