Description

Lower Barn is likely either a medieval structure or a 16th-century replacement of a tithe barn previously belonging to St Pancras Priory at Southover, Lewes, and associated with the Priest House at West Hoathly. It has undergone modern alterations and conversion into a house. The building has two storeys and four window bays. The lower portion is constructed of ashlar, while the upper section is faced with weather-boarding. The roof is tiled. Casement windows are present. An ashlar chimney breast is in the center of the east wall, with brick stacks.
