Description

Luxfords Farmhouse is a good example of a small 16th-century cottage. It features a stone plinth and a brick base, with a half-timber upper storey that is partly weather boarded and partly tile-hung. The building retains all its original window openings, some of which have early glazings. The roof is tiled, and there is a later addition of stone and half-timber that is in keeping with the original character. A fine central chimney stack is also a notable feature of the farmhouse.
