Description

This is a pair of semi-detached cottages located on Worth East Street. Built in 1919 as part of a planned layout, the cottages are constructed from sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings. The first floor is timber-framed with close studding and plaster infill. The roof is hipped and covered with Horsham stone slabs, featuring a central tall brick stack with a sandstone base.

The cottages are two storeys high, with a 2:1 window arrangement. The ground floor windows have four-light stone mullions, while the first-floor windows are timber mullions. A tall, two-light window illuminates the staircase. A central, round-headed stone niche on the ground floor contains a cherub holding a sundial. Above the niche is a stone crest displaying the letter "C" with a crown and the date 1919. The doorcases are embellished with flat hoods and brackets.
