Description
Chestham Park is an L-shaped building constructed between 1816 and 1830 by John Wood, possibly designed by Amon Henry Wilds of Brighton. It is two storeys high and features five windows. The exterior is stuccoed, with the ground floor rusticated. The building has a wide eaves bracket cornice and a slate roof. On the ground floor, there are French windows with Venetian shutters, while the upper storey has sash windows with intact glazing bars. The entrance porch is supported by four fluted Doric columns and features a modillion cornice. At the west end, there is a ground floor addition that includes a later iron and glass veranda, which also has five fluted Doric columns, a frieze, a modillion cornice, and a glass roof. Additionally, there is a service L-wing at the back of the building with five windows.
