Description

Shiprods is a building that dates back to the 16th century or earlier, originally constructed with a timber frame. The north wall features exposed timbering with red brick infilling, while the west front is covered by a pentice. In the 18th century, the south and east fronts, with the east front being the main façade, were refaced with red brick. The building includes a stringcourse and an eaves cornice, topped by a hipped roof made of Horsham slabs. The glazing bars are intact, and there is a doorway with a rectangular fanlight. Shiprods is two storeys high with an attic and has three windows, along with two gabled dormers on the north and south fronts. Inside, there is a staircase that dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century.
