Description

Marelands is a 15th-century timber-framed hall house of Wealden type, featuring plaster and painted brick infilling. The original part of the house has a recessed center and projecting wings, with the first floor overhanging on brackets and curved braces, topped with hipped roofs. There is one gabled dormer. The house has been extended in the same style at the south-west end. It has a Horsham slab roof and casement windows, and it stands two storeys high with five windows.
