Description

Hareplain Farmhouse is a 15th-century Wealden hall-house featuring a two-bay hall. The building is timber-framed with plaster infilling, while the ground floor has been rebuilt in red brick. The first floor of the end window bays is close studded and was originally oversailing, but is now underbuilt, with small bays built out on both floors. The area between the bays is recessed and has overhanging eaves supported on brackets. The farmhouse has two storeys and three casement windows. It is topped with a hipped tiled roof that includes a massive brick chimneystack. The entrance features a doorcase with a flat hood supported on brackets.
