Peppersgate is a restored L-shaped timber-framed house from the 16th century, featuring modern brick infilling and a ground floor that has been rebuilt in brick. The gable at the end of the south wing has renewed bargeboards, and the roof is covered with Horsham slabs. The house has modern casement windows and stands two storeys high, with a total of four windows.
