Description
South Cottage and North Cottage are one building, originally a timber-framed structure dating to the 16th century and now divided into two dwellings. The main part of the building has a distinctive L-shape and features timber framing with red brick infilling. The ground floor of the east front is constructed of sandstone. The east wing has a gable clad in tiles. The roof is covered with Horsham slabs. The building originally had four windows. A sandstone and tile-hung addition was built later, in the 18th and 19th centuries, at the south end.
