Description

The Old House is a late 17th century timber-framed cottage located on London Road. It stands two storeys tall, with the west front partially faced in brick and featuring patched pointed tile hanging above. The south end reveals exposed timber-framing with brick nogging. There is a 19th century two-storey brick addition with a gable at the north-east corner, and a modern one-storey lean-to at the north end. The building has an old tiled roof that is hipped at both the north and south ends and extends over an outshut on the east side. A central brick chimney stack is present, and the windows are irregularly arranged, featuring casement windows with leaded lights.
