Description

The barn at Saltmill House is a long, low building located on Mill Lane in Fishbourne, possibly built around the same time as the house itself. It features a steeply pitched old tiled gabled roof and is constructed of red brick. The barn is one storey high and has an attic window at both the front and the back, with the western end having been converted into a dwelling. The remainder of the barn includes space for two garages and one workshop, with a central passageway that is partly enclosed by church walls, leading to the garden behind. There is also a door in the attic storey on the eastern gable end.
