Description

Shopwyke Hall is an L-shaped house dated 1720, located on Oving Road. It has two storeys and features five windows. The building is constructed of red brick with grey headers and has a moulded wooden eaves cornice. The roof is tiled. The central portion of the window bay projects slightly and is topped with a gable that is treated as a pediment, displaying the date 1720 and the initials "S.S". The glazing bars are intact, and the ground floor windows have brick architraves above them. The doorway is adorned with Doric columns and a pediment, and it features a door with six fielded panels. There is a 19th-century L-wing added to the southeast.
