Description

No. 5 East Row is a 19th-century building that stands four storeys tall and features three bays facing north. It has a hipped slate roof and is constructed of red brick, accented with lacing courses of grey headers. A sack hoist is located over the westernmost bay. The doors that were once present on each floor below the hoist are now boarded up, and modern two-light casement windows have been inserted in the upper part of the building. All floors have casement windows set in reveals with segmental arches. The ground floor includes three-light and two-light casement windows, which retain their glazing bars and are adorned with brick voussoirs. There is a doorway on the ground floor that also features a segmental arch.
