Description
This is an 18th-century building, originally known as Sadler’s Warehouse, and formerly the Chichester City Museum. It is three storeys high and has five window bays. The roof is tiled, and the exterior is painted brick, with the top storey clad in weatherboard. The windows vary by level; the second storey features modern casement windows, the first storey has wide sliding sashes within reveals, and the ground floor has sash windows of differing sizes set within slightly segmental brick surrounds, complete with painted brick voussoirs. A two-storey wing extends east to west along the north side, adjoining number 6 East Row on the west side. A six-panelled door is present, with a recessed door behind it, framed by a moulded surround. A passageway runs through the building at its east end. The building has been recently renovated and converted, and was formerly used as a corn store. It forms a group with numbers 29 to 54.
