Description
The Royal Chantry, located in The Close, was originally the residence of the Royal Chaplains of Mortimer's Chantry. The building is not visible from either side, as its entrance is situated in the Cloisters. According to the Victoria County History, it features a 13th century hall and undercroft, with alterations and additions made from the 14th to the 18th centuries, predominantly from the 15th century.
