Description

The Residentiary is a building located on Canon Lane, dating from the early 16th century, with some parts originating from the 15th century. The north front, which faces Canon Lane, features a cement coating and has gables at each end, with the east gable displaying a carved bargeboard from the 16th century. The entrance includes an 18th-century doorway adorned with Doric columns, a pediment, and semi-circular fanlights. Inside, there is 16th-century panelling and a staircase. The south wing, constructed in the 18th century, is made of brick and flint. To the west of the north front, there is a low, one-storey and attic section with a hipped dormer, a garage, and a window below.
