Description
Manor House is a mid-19th century building that now serves as the Council Offices. It is a two-storey structure made of cement-rendered brick, featuring three slightly staggered and stepped window blocks that descend towards the north. The building has an architrave cornice and a blocking course. The right-hand block is the largest and most detailed, flanked by pilasters with a band mitred over the ground floor, which has horizontal channelling.
There is a central projecting single-storey porch with a cornice and blocking course, flanked by glazing bar sash windows set in pilastered recesses. The first floor also has glazing bar sashes. The central block is defined by vertical two-storey recesses for the glazing bar sashes, with a horizontal band above the ground floor. The left-hand block is a simpler, narrower version of the right-hand block, featuring a projecting porch that slightly overlaps the central block.
