Description
This road bridge, located approximately 20 meters south of the junction with Frith Hill Road, was built in 1872 to serve Charterhouse School. It is constructed from Bargate rubblestone with ashlar dressings. The bridge features a treble-chamfered pointed arch, which is flanked by buttresses that have offsets and gablets topped with trefoil finials. Below the embattled parapet, there is a hollow-moulded band that includes blind embrasures with blind quatrefoil tracery and roll-moulded coping. The northern archway has sustained damage in two places. The soffit of the arch is adorned with three deep chamfered ribs.
