Description
The stable and shelter shed to the east of the barn at High Pitfold Farm is an early 20th-century structure designed by Lutyens. It consists of two adjoining buildings that share a unified exterior appearance. Both buildings feature a high-pitched hipped swept tiled roof and outer walls made of large random malmstone with red brick dressings. The stable, located to the north, is taller and has a full two-storey height. It includes one three-light casement window and a series of low, segment-headed windows on the lower floor. The shelter shed is blank on the front and has a red brick left return with an attached gate pier. It is open at the back and consists of three bays supported by pegged, braced timber posts. The stable also has red brick at the rear, with gabled dormers and Dutch doors.
