Description
The Tithe Barn, now converted into a house, dates from the late 18th century and was converted around 1980. It is constructed of Bargate rubblestone and features a tile roof added during the conversion. The barn is aisled and consists of five bays, with central opposing cart entries on the south side. This side includes a gabled midstrey with V struts in the apex, which has been fully glazed, along with glazed panels on the sides and arched vents above. The bays to the right, which were formerly a cow-house, have a hipped roof with a gablet, and include skylights and a flue added around 1980. The left return, which was previously built into the hillside, features four glazed archways from the 1980s, with three tiers of arched vents above and a small circular vent in the gable. Inside, there are large-scantling wall posts with straight braces to the tie-beams and curved braces to the wall plate.
