Description

This is an 18th-century barn located to the right of Bridge Farm House in Alford. It features a timber frame set on a brick and render plinth, with weatherboard cladding and a plain tiled roof. The barn has a large five-bay structure with central opposing entries, one of which is at the rear beneath a gabled midstrey. The roof is of the queen-strut type and has been partly restored. Tension bracing is present in the framing above the middle rail. The barn is included for its group value.
