Description

Bridge Cottage is a house built in the mid to late 19th century. It features yellow-brown brick in a Flemish bond pattern and has a plain tile roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with the left bay set back. The two right-hand bays are under paired gables and are framed by giant pilasters, which are paired at the center and have banded capitals. Each bay has a 16-pane sash window on both floors, with glazed yellow-brick flat arches and hood-moulds above. The decorative barge-boards are fretted, and there are lateral stacks.

The entrance bay, which is set back on the left, has a similar pilaster on the left side. It features a six-panel door with a two-panel overlight, all set in a panelled reveal that has an architrave with pilasters, a frieze, and a bracketed cornice. Above this, there is a six-pane 20th-century casement window with a hoodmould. On the right return, there are angle pilasters, and a door on the right is set under a segmental arch, with a similarly arched window to the left and a 16-pane sash window above. An eaves band runs along the top.
