Description

This is a house located at 23 Marshall Road, built between 1830 and 1840. It is constructed of red brick with blue-brick headers in Flemish bond, featuring painted brick and stucco dressings, and has a Welsh slate roof. The house has two storeys and three bays, with stuccoed quoins. The central door, which is from the 20th century, is made of wood and is situated below a fanlight with glazing bars, all within a Tuscan porch. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, and there is a blind window above the door. The openings have painted brick jambs, with painted wedge lintels for the windows and a painted round arch for the doorway. The roof is hipped and has two stacks located at the rear.
