Description

The Combe chest tomb, located 2 yards southwest of the south chapel of the Church of St. George, is a Grade II listed structure dedicated to the Combe family. It dates from around 1830 and is built of stone on a brick plinth. The tomb features rendered panelled sides, with stone buttresses at the ends and center. It has a moulded stepped lid on top and is surrounded by a railed iron fence, which includes Prince of Wales Feather finials at the center and on the corner standards.
