Description

The wall west of Godstone Place is a 15th-century structure made of square stone with ironstone galleting. Originally, it was covered with ironstone in mortar, but this has mostly worn away. Above the wall, there is a brick moulding with a coping made of bricks laid on edge. The wall stands approximately 6½ feet high and stretches for about 60 yards, with one opening created about 10 yards from the north end. This wall is an important feature along the High Street.
