Description

The wall south of Stable Cottage is a 15th-century structure made of squared stone with ironstone galleting. Originally, it was covered with ironstone in mortar, but this has since worn away. The wall features brick moulding at the top and a coping made of bricks laid on edge. It stands approximately 6½ feet high and stretches for about 40 yards. This wall continues from the one to the north, but is interrupted by the construction of Stable Cottage, which is not included in this listing. The wall is an important feature along the High Street.
