Description

The Moore Chest Tomb, located 22 yards south of the Church of St. Lawrence, is a Grade II listed structure dedicated to Sarah Moore, who died in 1768. The tomb features a stone plinth with a stepped base and raised panelled sides that have recessed angle piers decorated with vermiculated bands. The lid is made of grey stone, inscribed and adorned with a Coat of Arms on top, and has a moulded edge. It was noted that the tomb is broken on the south side as observed during the time of re-survey.
