Description
Clews Farm House is a Grade II* listed house dating from the 16th century, with a 17th-century crosswing to the south. It features a timber frame set on a stone and brick plinth, with narrow brick infill above the exposed framing. The house has heavy curved bracing on the right side and plain tiled roofs, with a parallel range and a hipped roof at the right end. It is two storeys high with attics in the gabled front crosswing. A tall brick stack with four flues is located to the left of centre, topped with oversailing brick.
The right side has three framed bays, while the left side has a gabled bay with wooden framed leaded casement windows. The first floor of the wing includes a four-light window, and there is a three-light window to the right. The ground floor has irregular fenestration, featuring a four-light window to the left and centre, and a three-light window to the right. A planked door is positioned to the left of centre.
Inside, there is a deep brick fireplace and much of the timber frame is visible.
