Description
Riverbank is a house dating from the early 18th century, which was remodeled in the 19th century. It features incised, colourwashed rendered cladding and a restored plain tiled roof with raised gable ends. The building has two storeys on a plinth and an end stack to the right. On the first floor, there are three 12-pane glazing-bar sash windows in moulded boxes, with the central window set in a whitewashed brick surround that includes impost mouldings and lugs at the base. The ground floor has one 12-pane glazing-bar sash window to the right, which has three margin lights in the upper sash, and a 20-pane glazing-bar sash window to the left, featuring five margin lights in the upper pane and a fluted pilaster strip surround. There are blocked basement windows below. The central door has eight fielded panels and is set in a reeded surround under a flat hood, approached by steps with chain rails on obelisk posts.
