Description
Lime Lodge is a house that dates back to the early 18th century and first appears on Rocque's map of 1752. The house was extended to the south in the mid and late 18th century, to the east in the early 19th century, and to the north in 1928 by Mosley Horder. During the 1928 alterations, the front was refenestrated, and the three hips of the roof were covered with a hipped roof. The building is stuccoed and features a hipped slate roof with two brick stacks. It now has a rectangular shape with a spur to the north and east. The house has two storeys and irregular fenestration. The west front has five windows on one side and three on the other, featuring 1928 casements with jalousies. The central doorcase, also from 1928, includes a moulded architrave, a cornice on brackets, and a six-panelled door. There is a modillion cornice above. The south front has three similar windows, while the east front has several 12-pane sashes.
