Description

Lonesome Farmhouse is a house dating to the late 16th century, with alterations in the 18th century and a 20th-century extension to the rear. It is timber framed, with a rendered plinth and whitewashed brick cladding to the front. The left-hand return front displays exposed timber framing with brick infill, and features a fishscale tile hung gable. The roof is tiled, with a projecting end stack to the left and a large corbelled ridge stack to the right of centre. The two-storey house has regular casement windows; two 20th-century windows are present on each floor, with those on the ground floor set under cambered heads. A glazed door is situated to the right of centre, beneath a segmental head. The interior reveals timber framing on the ground floor to the left, with partition walls.
