Description

East Campfield Place is the eastern wing of a larger house known as Campfield Place, built around 1820. The building is constructed of sandstone rubble and features a hipped slate roof. It stands three storeys tall with a three-bay front and has chimney stacks located at the rear. The second floor has three 12-pane glazing-bar sash windows, which are fitted with Venetian shutters. On the first floor, there are outer casement windows that flank a 15-pane glazing-bar sash window. The ground floor includes two 16-pane sash windows. A six-panel door is located on the right-hand return front, and the fenestration above is irregular. The western wing, known as West Campfield Place, was added in 1906 and is not considered of special interest.
